Transfer files from computer to computer through only a power cable!
Now you can transfer files from computer to computer with a regular 110v AC power cable! The process of this new technology is called ‘Concurrent Voltage Data Transfer’! The only requirements to have this feature working is that you have your computer plugged in to the electrical node on the same circuit breaker. Basically, if you have both computers plugged in in the same room, where one computer only has the power cord plugged in, you should be able to see the harddrive appear in the Windows Network. Or so people thinks.
*unicef kenny says (8:32 PM):
hey is tehre a way to send files from computer to computer
*unicef kenny says (8:32 PM):
with one computer
*unicef kenny says (8:32 PM):
not being online?
Curt *red+u says (8:32 PM):
yep
Curt *red+u says (8:33 PM):
transfer through the power cable
*unicef kenny says (8:33 PM):
huh?
*unicef kenny says (8:33 PM):
is that like, through ethernet?
Curt *red+u says (8:33 PM):
as long as it’s hooked up through the same outlet that powers your house, you should be able to.
*unicef kenny says (8:33 PM):
how about laptop to computer
Curt *red+u says (8:34 PM):
Yeah, is the AC adaptor connected to the same power source that powers the house?
*unicef kenny says (8:34 PM):
sure i can make it
*unicef kenny says (8:34 PM):
can you teach me how to do it?
*unicef kenny says (8:34 PM):
![]()
Curt *red+u says (8:34 PM):
Then yeah, hook up the power to a surge supressor or something, and the HD should show up on the local area network
Curt *red+u says (8:34 PM):
No need for an ethernet or usb cable.
Curt *red+u says (8:35 PM):
Just have the pc plugged in
*unicef kenny says (8:35 PM):
…huh/
*unicef kenny says (8:35 PM):
english pls?
*unicef kenny says (8:35 PM):
![]()
Curt *red+u says (8:35 PM):
You don’t need the computer connected through ethernet or USB, just plug in the computer to your wall outlet.
*unicef kenny says (8:36 PM):
can it be with those like
*unicef kenny says (8:36 PM):
seperators?
Curt *red+u says (8:36 PM):
You can transfer files through the HD using the voltage current from one computer to the other, just have it plugged in and check the network connections. Yeah, those works.
Curt *red+u says (8:36 PM):
The ones where you can hook up to tv’s and shit.
*unicef kenny says (8:36 PM):
yeah dude
*unicef kenny says (8:36 PM):
i have those
*unicef kenny says (8:36 PM):
but how do i send via harddrive
*unicef kenny says (8:36 PM):
O_O
Curt *red+u says (8:36 PM):
Plug it in, then check network connections
*unicef kenny says (8:37 PM):
im on the local area connections properties
*unicef kenny says (8:37 PM):
now what
Curt *red+u says (8:37 PM):
You should see your drive if you have the power cable plugged in.
*unicef kenny says (8:38 PM):
but i dont… O_O
Curt *red+u says (8:38 PM):
You want to grab the files from another computer while the computer is off right?
*unicef kenny says (8:38 PM):
is it “file and printer sharing for microsoft networks” ?
Curt *red+u says (8:38 PM):
Yeah.
*unicef kenny says (8:38 PM):
i see it checked
*unicef kenny says (8:38 PM):
so how do i send shit
Curt *red+u says (8:38 PM):
You want to grab the files from another computer while the computer is off right?
*unicef kenny says (8:39 PM):
na
*unicef kenny says (8:39 PM):
its both on
*unicef kenny says (8:39 PM):
but ones no internet
Curt *red+u says (8:39 PM):
Ah, you need one off, lmao
*unicef kenny says (8:39 PM):
o
*unicef kenny says (8:39 PM):
gay
Curt *red+u says (8:39 PM):
Turn the computer you want data transfered from off, keep the power plugged in, and unplug the rest.
*unicef kenny says (8:39 PM):
which one needs to be off?
*unicef kenny says (8:39 PM):
oh
*unicef kenny says (8:39 PM):
like the one i want the data from to be off?
Curt *red+u says (8:39 PM):
Yeah, turn it off, and only leave the power cable on it.
*unicef kenny says (8:39 PM):
or the one recieving to be off
Curt *red+u says (8:40 PM):
The one sending will be off.
*unicef kenny says (8:40 PM):
ok
*unicef kenny says (8:40 PM):
everything but power chord is unplugged
Curt *red+u says (8:40 PM):
K, after you do that, you have to take off the ethernet / internet cable on the one that’s currently on.
Curt *red+u says (8:40 PM):
Then goto network connections
*unicef kenny says (8:40 PM):
im on wireless
Curt *red+u says (8:40 PM):
owtf
Curt *red+u says (8:41 PM):
Turn off wi-fi, then plug the power into the wall
Curt *red+u says (8:41 PM):
Then try to view local network, and see if there is any voltage concurrent connections
Curt *red+u says (8:41 PM):
Should be in my network places if you have Windows XP
*unicef kenny says (8:41 PM):
kk i’m gonna disconnect wifi
Curt *red+u says (8:41 PM):
K.
Curt *red+u says (8:43 PM):
dumbass.
